Jogja Tourist: Malioboro

Malioboro is the main center of shopping in Jogja. It lies along the main street from Tugu Railway Station to the Kraton. At night the stalls along the street sell souvenirs and small items. Here you can witness the Jogja tradition where people sit out at night by gas-light on straw mats to chat, drink tea, eat snacks and enjoy the cool evening air and the passing parade.
